After the truck has been sitting in the parking lot all day, when get in it to leave and turn the A/C on and turn the fan on high. it will run for a couple of minutes and then switch to recirc mode by itself. the indicator light for recirc is not on but its definitely on max A/C. Then after about 10 minutes it will go back to normal mode. Is this suppose to act this way?

maybe you do and don't know it :) These things seem to do some weird stuff from time to time :)

but seriosuly, if the interior was very warm, maybe it kicks into recirc to cool down faster?

If you turn the dial all the way left on the cold side, it goes into "MAX A/C". This includes "Re-Circ" mode. I occasionally do this and trigger the recirc mode on the thing. Probably one of the few things I dislike about my truck. I actually have to be concious about how far left I spin the dial so I don't trigger MAX A/C.

My 2011 does the same thing. I do have the auto climate control and it does seem to have a mind of it's own. I have often wondered if it was a problem, but it cools well and has done since i have had the truck...so i wrote it off as normal.

This thing definitely does some quirky things, remote doors locks not working sometimes, torque converter locking up when idling in gear (this only happened once). How does one find out if there are any software updates needed?
