Problem with a Corvette.

Can't help but be proud!!

Hey Guys, I'm looking to get into an off road buggy or truck, gas powered. I was looking in Tower Hobbies and they have a dizzying array of models! Does anyone have either the Duratrax Maximums, or Tower's own Tower Nitro ST-15.

What I think I want is a complete Ready To Run deal for around $200-$300. I don't have anything right now.

Thanks in advance!

Absolutly go with a t-maxx they are in the low $400 range but you get 4WD, two speed auto trans (sorry not DTT equiped, but maybe we should call Bill..... :D forward and reverse big monster tires capable of roosting sand 5 feet out the back 2 1/2 inches of plush suspension travel double shocks at all corners. i have had mine 5 feet high in the air off a jump and landing smoothly. There are a ton of bombs available to trick them out (guilty as charged) and a similar website to the tdr just for them you cant go wrong with a t-maxx. it has started a whole new trend in rc trucks.

Have fun and let me know when you get it as i have a lot of info on bombs

fyi the stock engine is a . 15 and with a little mods is very sufficient and you dont have to go with a . 21 unless you want to beat HVAC:D

Man, that thing looks like the next new toy I need to buy. Where can I get one? Are they (and repair parts) available at local hobby shops, or do I need to find a RC-specialty shop?

Whoa Guys,, too cool,, I was just about to go out run my little truck around.

I have an R/C 10 GT tournament, Team truck. (really quick)

My little bro has a T-Maxx,, sweet truck,, I suggest it BIG TIME,, nearly bullet proof.

In the R/C Hobby YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR!!!!

If you buy a $200 truck,, you are NOT going to compete with a $500 truck.

My little brothers truck (Dad's shopping spree) is worth $1,200.

All Aluminum frame

3-speed transmission

Hi performance clutch

Performance street tires

Alluminum Bumpers

Hi strength servos

Titanium turnbuckles

Blue ALuminum Axly adaptors,,

The list goes on and on,,

Way to cool truck.

Go big, GO for it, check around with R/C shops in your area,, see if they have races. . Racing is too cool.

A good fuel to run in the T-MAXX is 20% nitro with 20% oil.

YS 20/20 fuel is an excellent choice.

Don't be suprised, $20. 00 a gallon for fuel.

Have fun, I'll check back.

Yhea, That's the truck that started my fever. It was featured on DIY channel show, "Remote Control Hobbies" It seems real awesome! However, it's outta price range for me as I want to get a Digi camera too. It was either/or but I Really want both. Here's what I'm leaning towards.

I know it's only a 2WD, but it seems like the most bang for the buck. Does anyone know of one? is it a pig? should I hold out for the T-maxx?

t-maxx

dude, get the t-maxx, they kick butt. i've had mine in the sand dirt, rocks, and they are a kick in the butt even just on the street.

Oh yeah dont listen to Brandon, he'll have you breakin parts on that poor little t-maxx in no time, i mean really who the heck needs more power any way. LOL. ask him what happens when you hit parked cars and almond trees.

oh by the way the os . 21 rgx does rock, Brandon and i are putting them in stock length chassis. can you say wheelie. stock hp is about . 65, os . 21 is 1. 9 hp, that puts us in the HVAC and JOE D. league of model trucks. LOL. when you do decide to bomb the maxx, you need aluminum bulkheads, skid plates, bottom braces, rpm a-arms, better steering servo, a carb flip, throttle return spring, tuned pipe and the most important item, get rid of that P. O. S ford body and buy a dodge ram

if you decide to go the buggy/ 2wheel drive truck route, it's hard to beat the RC10gt mentioned above, been around a long time, and is one quality truck. be carefull, these babies are more addicting than diesel, well maybe not, but darn close
