My vacuum pump is leaking oil at the gasket so it seems. Has anybody removed and replace there vacuum pump? It doesn’t look very easy:{ I'm hoping I don't have to remove the VP44 to get to it.

Talked to Chris and he said it's not to difficult to remove but getting it back in requires a second set of hands. Enter BPINE :) . I should also mention that the steering box was removed because it also leaked PS fluid. The good news is we don't have to remove the fuel pump. Oo.

I ordered the rebuild kit from John at CPFF and I'm going to R&R the pump this weekend. I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Cliff... rebuild kit ??... what is the "rebuild kit" and what does it consists of ??

as you know this is something I need to resolve on mine also... but I still haven't found exactly where my leak is. . hydro boost at the top of down below. . too much wind travel and doesn't always leak.

OH... BTW... guess I'm the newest guy to have the Ol dented tailgate from the bushed at CoCo's... . Mike got there after me [I arrived very early] and backed in , looked over at me and said last time he backed in to far he dented his [large branches where they pruned them and the fresh growth hid the big ends]. . we laughed, well Wed. morning I went out to the truck and saw my matching dent.

Gary, It's just O rings and seals with detailed instructions on how to install them. Sorry to hear about the "Coco's tail gate branch". Didn't even know about that one. Guess I'll be goen on dent patrol.

Cliff ... the branch ends are hidden buy the new growth. . but they are there lurking. . about a 6/8" dent... hope that the dent guys can fix it without a body shop involvement... now just have to find one as I don't think there is one up here

I just e-mailed John [CPFF] for a kit to have on hand here [even if my leak isn't this issue would be a good "kit" to have here for me or others later].
