Race Horse has muscle cramp problem.

On another board I go to a person has trouble with a horse cramping up when racing. He's fine one minute then locks up.



The owner has tried several different remedies, like potassium, electrolytes, cider vinegar, herbal products.



He also has tried what the Veterinarian recommenced to no avail.



I know the TDR guys are very knowledgeable when it come to Equine.

Calcium... Knew a guy who used to walk his horse into a river up to his withers, then rub him down.

Is it muscle cramps or is the horse actually doing what is known as tying up.
