I noticed on the section of DHRA's rule book it stated racing diesel fuel allowed... is there a such thing?

Yes. I know of a couple of race fuel companies that are supplying a "racing diesel". One company I know of mixes in 2% nitro methane (ch3no2). I have not tried any of the racing diesel yet, so I can't comment on how it works.

could also mean additives. . cyclohexane nitrate could be added in larger amounts than found in standard diesel fuel cetane additives. .

Torco Racing Fuels produces race diesel. I've heard alot of the sled pullers are starting to go to it. From what I understand the cetane numbers are 10 to 15 points higher. I know one of their distributers is Orange County Auto Shop www.ocautoshop.com. Give them a call they should have more info on it.
