For those of you with RWD (or those who simply know!), what size socket is required to remove the two large bolts securing the rack-pin in your vehicle?

Also, what is the torque value on it?

TYiA!

For socket size, I will have to slide under the truck tomorrow and see. For torque my 2003 Chrysler shop manual says 235 lb/ft. It does not differentiate whether a 1500 or heavy duty truck, it just has one torque in the chart of torques at the end of the rack and pinion section of Chapter 19.

Edit: I just now noticed that you have a '96 model, this is the 3rd gen forum, not 2ed gen, so I cannot guarantee the accuracy of the torque specification for a '96.

Saginaw recirculating ball pump for all of us G2's. I am thinking about "going shopping" at the local salvage yard, though. Maybe grab myself an upgrade! ;)

Everything I've seen suggests metric...13, 21, 24 plus 18 and 20 for the lines. That'll be the easiest part of converting from recirc ball to rack-and-pinion?:D

Ty, sir! Yes, that'll be the easiest part. :) I'll try and grab the parts next week, but I probably won't start the project for another month or so. Have other fish in the frying pan. If I could only squeeze more hours into a day!
