Camper question

Mack-Port a Potty

getting ready to turn the goat into a "toad'. i can't find out in the owner's manual or in the DC factory service manual if miles register on the odometer while towed with the switch in the off (but not locked) position. anybody tow a goat and know?

BTW, i just finished fabricating and installing dual hitch receivers on the front of the ram. bolted on the end of the frame on each side, using the bumper mount bolts plus bracing. should be very useful for other things besides towing the ram... ... lights, winch mounts, steps and platforms for engine service, grill guards, tow hooks, battering rams, heavy duty bumpers, etc, etc.

Depends on what year truck you have. I don't remember what years are what. Some odometers are run off the rear axle. You could crawl under the truck and see if there is a speedo cable in the rear OD houseing of the transmission. If you wait for a while I'll bet someone with the right years will chime in here.

follow up

almost forgot to come back and post a followup. the goat works great as a "toad". tows like a dream--straight and true. And the miles don't register on the odometer. this is towing the truck with the transfer case in neutral, transmission in Park, and the switch off, but not locked.
