Anybody use one of these when refueling the truck? Seems like an interesting idea, or maybe I'm crazy.

Separates water and does some minor prefiltering. They can't be very expensive, but I don't know.

i just saw that at orioles auto parts today. seems kninda cool, but impractical for use on my truck.

Buy the time i would get to use it, there would be more dirt and dust on the unit that would enter the tank when i refilled.

Those look to be the same as Mr Funnel. I believe it was on TDR where someone posted a filter review from a boating magazine. The Mr Funnel removed more water that $200 units. I have 2 of the Mr Funnel. The largest and a smaller one. I use them when I am camping and refueling from cans. Both diesel and gas for generator. I haven't noticed any trapped water, but can't hurt due to dirty environment. I put a length of clear plastic tubing on the outlet of the large funnel for fueling my truck. It allows the funnel to be held upright to get a straighter shot into the tank.
