I noticed today that they were loose, the rad. is not just flopping around but they aint holding it like they should. I can solder or braze, not good with welding. Should I take it to a radiator shop? Any ideas?

Thanks, Steve

You can repair it. You will need to solder it. Make sure you use flux on it. Keep the flame low. I have resoldered a few older Dodge car raditor mounts before.

It is best to remove the raditor for this also. You might need to remove the mount from the tank and clean it up if it has any rust on it between the mount and raditor. The mount itself is steel. The raditor is copper.

I had one come loose a couple years ago and also did not want to take out the radiator. I cleaned it up and used JB Weld. The JB outlasted the radiator core which failed about 10 months later. For the heck of it I tried to get the mount back off and it just bent the JB held its ground. :D
