I've got a small leak thats getting bigger in my radiator.

Im looking into replacing it and was wondering what my options where. I see where some have bought at AutoZone for around $300 a radiator made in Thailand.

Others have bought at Napa for around $500 and im not sure where they are made or the difference in products.

Has anyone come up with a bigger radiator or is there even a need for one. Also any tricks on the take out of the old one or install of the new one would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance to the TDR community and Happy Holidays.

How about some info on your truck ?
fill in on the user control pannel
There are many opp. s here , the autozone may give you a replacment for how long ?
then whats the likly hood of it going bad ?
Napa is going to be most likly a Modene manufactured , a better radiator & service , less likly to need a 2nd , but that happens also but less often , and you should be able to find a competitive price . Any of the after market is probubly going to be on the performance end and cost more .
So you have to decide if your biulding a hot rod or saving money , you cna'nt your cake and eat it too , in this case .
I would find the best price on a Modene .

Try a radiator repair shop. Even though ours have plastic end caps the shop may be able to "make" one up for you that's an old style - copper and brass I think - for less or a simple repair - depends on how much you want to spend. It's an alternative to a new one anyway????

Thanks for the response. I've ordered one from 1-800-Radiator. Its a OEM. It was supposed to be here today having been shipped overnight by FEDEX. I called to get the tracking # and they couldn't confirm that it had left the warehouse. Total was $325 and that was with shipping.

AutoZone was $342. Dodge was $568. 40. Another parts house was $300. Getting the old one out was straightforward. Hope putting the new one in will be just as easy. Thanks again for the input.
