Anybody know of any good tool sources with the right equipment to repair a dented radiator/oil cooler. My radiator (actually the AC heat exchanger) has been dinged up right where my big fat feet go when I'm standing on the bumper step. There's enough "pushed in" areas that I'd like to repair them then fashion some sort of shield to prevent my Nike's from dinging my Dodge.

In addition, enough trips through the power washer has definitely had similar effects on my oil cooler fins as well.

I guess I could use a small flat blade screw driver and go one fin at a time... ... but I'd rather stack BB's for that kinda fun. Surely there's some kind of tool designed out there to correct this kind of damage.

Again, as always, thanks in advance.

Now I'm talking to myself

Quite a conversation I'm having with myself. Don't think I'm crazy. We'll see if the big men in white coats throw a net over me at work tomorrow.

Just bought one of these... . looks like the cats meow.

Go to Napa

Napa has the tool by Robin-air. It has multiple heads for diff fins per inch. Cost under $10. 00. I recently bought one and have straightened my trucks and Travel trailer AC/Radiator fins. Take your time/go slow.

Harfor Freight has a radiator fin straightener here

I've been tempted to try, just haven't bothered.

TRY

Try HVAC, Besides being a hot rod diesel guy he does hvac systems and they use combs to straighten the fins. He should know which one works for our vehicles:cool:
