2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Radiator flush additives?

Searching radiator flushing came up with several good instructional methods on replacing rad. fluids but no one mentioned refilling system with the common descaling additives that you run for about 20 minutes and then flush out. I have already purchased the product and planned on using it. . Is there any reason why I shouldnt? Seems like a curious omission, I have always used these products when fluching rad. on my gassers. Should my diesel radiator be any different? Thanks for any info.

Make sure it's safe for all materials and flush the dirty stuff out until the water going out is down to the TDS as the water you're flushing with. Craig
