I need to receive some input on replacing the bottom radiator hose. (pointers) When should these hoses be replaced. Mine appear to be in good shape, no soft spots or signs on deterioration.

There are factors that involve making that decision - age and mileage, truck usage, climate, etc., and just personal preference. I have an '02 with 305,000 miles on the odometer and I still have all of the original hoses in place. I just inspect my truck before I go on long trips.

Keep the old OEM Hoses as long as they are good, today's rubber quality is so poor, they get brittle within a couple years.

I appreciate the input. My hoses appear to be in good shape, so I will just keep looking at them.
2005 all stock except park pack brake. 94,000 miles.
Darell.
