Can any tell Me where I can get a screen that fitts behind the grill

to protect the cooling fins from the bugs?I am going to Alaska this

summer want to keep it from getting to jammed.

Harry, two simple ways to do it either go to any local hardware store and purchase window screen

or go to any lowes or home depot and purchase a window screen kit. includes cut to fit frame and screen in one simple kit.

enjoy alaska its beautiful

I use screen from the hardware store also but prefer 1/8" mesh because it doesn't clog as easily and anything that makes it though the screen also makes it thought the radiator. Regular window screen is 1/16" mesh.

I have a bug screen off a Peterbilt 379, as well as a winter front, though here in south texas it does not get used... The bug screen works great, and when I open the hood, you see the big Pete emblem, which always turns heads! I think they are like 30 dollars, and can be attached with a few zip ties!

I used fiberglass window screen. I was easy to work with, heat doesnt affect it, and the fiber glass being slippery prevents bugs from sticking to it. I have never need to clean it off. the bugs just fall off. Engine temp has been unchanged.

I used regular window screen from Home Depot. It has a plastic like coating on it, and I zip tied it to the radiator supports. It covers the radiator/condenser/intercooler nicely and prevents the fins from getting damaged. So far, not real litmus test as the bugs aren't bad here until March.

I have used 1/8" hail screen on 3 diff. trks. , and really like it. Its galvanized metal, and stays in place better than regular window screen. True Value hardware is the only place I've been able to find it around here.
