I have the 8.4AN radio and randomly it has changed channels on me. It did it two or three times right after I got the truck last year and I thought I was accidently hitting the steering wheel control. I mentioned it to the dealer when I took it in for the first scheduled oil change and the dealer did a flash on it. It hasn't done it again in months but then two weeks ago it did it when I was backing out of a parking space and then again the other night. Every time it has done it I believe I was turning the steering wheel. I normally listen to satellite so I don't know if it happens on AM/FM or not. If it was a wiring issue in the steering column I would think it wouldn't be so random. I have turned the steering wheel while trying to put stress on it by pushing and pulling hoping to find a sweet spot that causes it so I can prove it to the dealer but nothing I do causes it. Anybody had this issue?

Thanks and have a great afternoon/evening......Don

No not that problem but one time I hit the brakes real hard to avoid an accident and my 8.4 changed from Sirius xm to FM by itself. It has only done it once but I don't slam on the brakes that often. Other than that the lady's voice that tells me when I am speeding, the volume of her voice changes by itself.

I have a somewhat "under developed" radio/nav unit in my Limited. It has had a whole bunch of strange issues and Ram has said that it will be replaced when I take it in. One of the many issues is that it changes stations on its own.
It also looses connectivity with UConnect access, it locks up and looses all of the icons, it has a Yelp search that is incredibly stupid we actually refer to it as our special child.
When it changes channels it does it without anything else happening. In other words just driving down the road, no turns no bumps and out of the blue, a different station...
I'll be taking it in soon, I will report back.

Did your truck have the driver air bag recall? Mine did and when I pulled the bag the air bag wiring was not rubbing but the steering wheel control wires were. Used the recall zip tie to keep it from rubbing.

I found that disconnecting both the batteries for a couple of minutes sorta re-boots the system. Fixed my 8.4 woes

Thanks for the responses. It did it again this morning when I made a left hand turn from a stop. I'll try the battery disconnect this weekend and see if that does any good. If not then I'll take it to the dealer again. Problem is even if the disconnecting of the battery doesn't fix it I might not know for months because it's so random.

I'll bet you have steering wheel mounted radio controls and you hitting the left channel change button with your knee once and a while.
