My 2014 Laramie's radio/satellite/cd player likes to change settings while I'm driving. I've searched the issue on here and it seems that the only fix for this is to have the unit replaced........fast forward to today. My local dealer, surprisingly enough, can't get the stereo to act up while it's in for service. I plan on making a video of the occurrence and posting it to youtube. Do any of you guys that have experienced this problem have any advice on how to proceed? Any techs have any advice?

It's the Media center in the console. If you don't use the USB or AUX inputs unplug it and drive it for a week or so. If it stops doing it you can have them replace it.

radio changing

Show dealer service manager video and that will help for sure.

Was wondering what you meant by unhooking the media center and why this helps the radio to not change channels.Dealership already told me they would put a new radio in just wanted to make sure that was it.

Unplug them first and see if problem goes away. You might be able to unplug one at a time. Also the parts info I posted is for all 13 3500 and is not specific to any one truck. So they might have one or both parts.

So I have 2 connections in my center console, one is a USB, Aux input and SD card, the other is a USB charge port only. I assume one part number is the USB charge only connection and the other is all 3. Now which is which is the question. Both are about $135.00 list.
I know that when I have nothing plugged in in the center console the problem goes away.

Just-a-wondering... The stereo can be controlled by steering wheel buttons on the bottom side of the wheel (I assume yours, like mine works this way). SAG2- could the steering wheel wiring recall have an impact on this? Greg

I suppose it could. I pulled my DAB yesterday to check it for chafing on the harness. The dealer didn't have the parts yet so I figured I would look and see if the wiring had started to wear through. The air bag harness was fine, but the horn wires had been making contact. The media hub is still the most suspect part.
I do not know which is which on the parts catalog. I'm far from a parts guy!
