I had a new Pioneer Elite DEHP640 XM Ready radio installed in my truck today and I could not believe how easy the dash came apart. The installer just grabbed the bottom center of the dash by the cup holder and pulled the whole center section off complete with all the heater controls cigar lighter etc. Then with a phillips screw driver unscrewed 4 screws and the radio was out. If I had a stop watch I dont think it took more than 10 seconds!!He commented that the new Ram was one of the easiest vehicles to work on. He also said the Infinity speakers were fine for the increased power!!Also I put the antenna on the dash indoors and it works fine,I had a glass mount before and it filled with water everytime it rained. On XM they have a truckers channel Ch. 171 which is devoted to cross country truckers. The commercials are for Kenworths and other trucks, and plays country music!. The truckers call in using their handles and cross talk to one another, very interesting listening... ... ...

Nice to see the 03 dash comes apart for radio and stuff as my 01.

XM radio works good with the antenna on the dash, huh? good news. I am an intenterstate trucker, I drive for watkins motor line pulling doubles.

There is a portable XM system that is in a travel pouch I see in trouckstops. T/A truckstops seems like a neat thing for truckers that don't own their own trucks.
