I have 2 1995 Ram 3500 cab & chassis trucks. They are virtually identical.
The radios have quit working in both trucks. No clock, no nothing. I purchased another radio at the junkyard and installed it in one of the trucks. It worked great for about a week, then same problem. No clock no nothing. I have checked fuses of course, but can't figure out what has happened to both trucks.
Thanks for any help.

I don't know about '95s but there are different radios available - regular and Infinity (which add a power amp in each front door). You need to test the radio on the bench. A radio has ground, +12V battery and +12V accessory. You don't need to connect speakers to check the display. The +12 battery maintains the clock and settings and the +12V accessory is a signal to turn on. I would suspect the ignition switch isn't providing the +12V accessory.

On my '02 (with Infinity radio) pressing the volume will always turn on the clock for a few seconds. No key needed. Other radios might have a "time" button to switch between station and clock.

They both have the Infinity radio. Just seems pretty odd they both quit working, and did the exact same thing.
I'm pretty sure whatever is wrong with one, is wrong with the other.
Thanks for your help.

This is weird my 98 did this also a few says ago cant' figure it out.

I have a 1996 with a 1997 radio that'll control a remote 6 CD changer. It does not have an Infinity radio. I bought the truck new, and seem to recall that the Infinity radios always needed special attention. Occasionally, weird things happened to them that were said to require a dealer reset. Maybe a car radio shop that has someone knowledgeable can help.

I never paid a lot of attention, not using an Infinity radio . . . Have you tried this website's search function?
