I have a 95 Ram 2500 extended cab with factory radio. The radio had been working fine until now. I turn the knob to play and nothing. The dial does not light up neither does the clock light or show time. I checked the fuse in the fuse panel and it is fine checked to see if I had power to the fuse panel which I did. Are there another fuse in line or in the radio that I am missing?

It's probably unlikely but you might want to check the wiring harness. Maybe came loose? or a ground disconnected. If you can't figure it out and believe it's still the radio, I have a stock radio w/ cd and tape you can have. It came with my truck when I bought it few months ago and I replaced it within a week. The paint on the buttons are warn I never tried the cd or tape but the radio was working. Anyway, if you want it pm me.

I've had mine worked on twice for a recurring problem. Sounds similar to your problem. The on/off button as well as the pre-set buttons got so they only worked intermittently. Technician did some cleaning and all was well... . for a while anyhow.

Mine did that plus when turned off had humming noise coming out of the speakers. I pulled the fuse to stop it. I just repalced it with a radio from Best Buy, Dodge ran out of them parts man said they had wanted $300 to $400 for one it was cheaper to buy it at one of electronic stores. Radio, plastic filler, electrical adapter, installation was $211. They made some extra money I had already removed the radio. If you dash isn't cracked tell them to becareful with it.

My 96 had 3 die a similar death to yours. I question if the voltage drop when the grid heaters are on is taxing the electronics in the radio. The least expensive fix I could find is... . just whistle

Thank's to every one replying to my post trying to help me out especially J Nasty for going out of his way offering his help . I ended up taking the radio out of the truck and carrying to a radio shop and got it checked and they found a bad circuit board. I decided to just upgrade to a new radio. I bought a JVC with all the bells and whistles, now if I can just figure out how to operate all the features.

"now if I can just figure out how to operate all the features. "

I know what you mean, I got an after market Kenwood, took me a good 1 1/2 hours to program. sense then I've had to do it three other times, I'm not getting much better at it, battery change and ALT. problems. I need to get a thingy to plug into the cig. lighter that saves the presets. I if anyone knows about them, please let me know.
