First problem popped up about a week ago. Bought truck one month ago. Radio works fine with key in a/c position. With engine on and running radio screen went to a blank blue color. Even backup camera would not work. Started working then stopped again. Took back to dealer and they said they couldn't work on the hard drives and a re-flash didn't fix it so they ordered a new radio. Waiting,...waiting....waiting for new radio. Anyone else haveing any problems with their brand new 2015's.

I'd bet there is a grounding problem with the radio and/or wiring harness. A running engine generates noise in the (relatively) smooth flow of power from the batteries. This can degrade communications between radio brain and radio display. Reflashing will not ever improve performance unless the flash can slow down the communication rates to a point where the noise doesn't interfere (not very likely...). I haven't heard of anything like this with the 2015s - not many of em out there yet though.

There is a TSB about a burr on the bezel. Seems the burr hits the touch screen and causes all kinds of issues. Not sure if it will cause your issue but it's worth a look into...

Mine did same thing 1 month old, did an update from UConnect https://rsur.extra.chrysler.com/rsur/Uconnect.do , you put in VIN # and go from there. Mine was a UConnect 5. Its been working great for little over 2 weeks now. Hope this helps you also.

2015 Ram 2500 same issue. Discovered that when I leave key in ignition for over 1.5 minutes when it isn't running nothing in the touch screen display works (including backup camera). Been to my dealer twice, they say they have another customer experiencing the same issue.

I have discovered that if I remove the key for 30 minutes it resets itself and everything works as it should.

Yesterday had freezing rain where I live and noticed by driver side heated mirror is working and the USB drive in the armrest has stopped working - go figure.

The radios can be a pain. Mine started having static intermittently right after I mounted my Lance Camper. Thinking it might be something in the camper, I waited until I removed the camper before taking it in to the dealer.

After the camper was off, the static was gone. It was on AM, FM and Satellite. I towed my 5th wheel all the way to AZ with perfect radio reception. Now the static has started again, with the empty truck! It started after going over a really bumpy road but it comes and goes. Typically static when starting cold in the morning. Turn off the sound for awhile and after the truck warms up the static is gone. It may stay gone for hours or days. I keep hoping it will fail solid so I can take it in or find the problem. I've got the service CD and I've checked all the connections and grounds.

I've thought about the burr on the bezel but mine was manufactured after the end date of the TSB.

Mine started a week after I got it and does it sometimes and did not do it for a few months till I change uconnect on my phone going to take it in

I purchased my 2015 in May 2015 and several times have had issues with the 8.4AN. Once it only illuminated but no sound or reaction to touch screen when I started the truck. After shutting the vehicle off about 20 minutes later and then starting it a while later everything was back but during my drive the touch screen had a red display come on telling me there was an issue with the radio and to take it to the dealer. I took it in and they re-flashed it but since then the radio has changed stations on it's own several time regardless if it was on FM or satellite. A couple weeks ago it lost sound and quit responding to the touch screen for 10 minutes then just came back. It's a real pain that the dealer doesn't provide a loaner vehicle. That probably will be a determining factor as to if I'll purchase another one.

DonR:
My service guy at the local dealer told me that FCA policy is to offer a free rental for all warranty work on my 2015 RAM. I've taken them up on this once so far.

Thanks MRinehart and LandShark for the replies. I hope to get another appointment next week for them to look at it again. MRinehart, how did changing out the entire radio affect your Uconnect and Sirus accounts since the radio IDs would be different?

My 2015 Ram 2500 with the 8.4an radio worked fine for almost 2 years, then 2 weeks ago the compass didn't know which direction I was headed, the GPS didn't know where I was, and the vehicle phone
was down. I took it to the selling dealer and after 5 hours of reflash attempts they decided to order a new radio. It sure seemed to me that the GPS antenna input had failed. Their repair attempts caused the radio and camera to shut down. Very frustrating! Anybody else been here?

New radio installed under warranty, all issues resolved.

I had the same problem with my 2014 and now I am on the third radio. This one works.

I had my 8.4N radio replaced with a "new' one, after it failed when the truck was a month old. Turns out it was out of a Dodge Charger and that caused me to spend a couple of hours on the phone with Uconnect and the sat radio people to get the radio registered again. Sat radio people still think my truck is a Charger! Dropped the satellite service anyway because it drops out every time I pass a hill or big tree, which here in westeren WA, is every minute.

My static problem turned out to be a bad amplifier.

Only present on dash speakers, they changed those first. When it made no difference they changed the amplifier and that fixed it.

I just took my 2014 RAM 3500 in due to inability to adjust brightness on NAV screen. They told me I need new radio. 6 months ago the GPS failed and they replaced the antenna. Somehow fiddling around with it might have made the radio fail. Who knows. Still warranty but I still have $100 deductible
