I just purchased an XM radio and, like many folks have said, the FM transmitter quality is not very good. I purchased a direct connect adapter from Terk was wondering if anyone knows where I can find an antenna adapter. The Terk unit splices in between the Truck's antenna and the radio. jk

From what I remember, the only oddball antenna's were on gm's. I used delphi's fm modulator, and I did not need one. However if I am wrong, you can probably get one at anyplace that sells radio's. I know I got one at walmart for the GMC I had before. Other than that radio shack or an auto sound store would be a sure bet.

Welcome to TDR, what year model do you have?

If its a new one how about this adapter

Thats the one I use for a direct connect. It allows the sat unit to input straight to the radio. No need for the FM antenna at all.

You amy also need this adapter to go with the other one if your XM unit didn't come with RCA cables.

I have the XM RoadyII. I through the cassett adapter away and just use the built-in fm transmeter. Works very well. You have to be sure to have the RoadyII set to the same freq. as the radio.

I have a 2005 2500 Laramie with the RB1 Radio. I was hopeful, but when I checked the adapters they will not work with my Radio. I do have both frequencies the same on my Roady2 and radio. At certain spots in SA I get static from other signals. I guess I might have to go with the factory sirus system. I had the Roady so I could switch between my cars.

Thanks for the suggestions I really appreciate it.
