Attention: TDR Forum Junkies I knew I shouldn't have ordered the Uconnect - now that I am hooked on it, my CD player has died (lasted less than a month). My '97 Dakota's CD player never lasted more than a couple of months at a time, so I should have known better.
The problem:
The factory Uconnect is integrated into the factory single-CD radio to a degree that is unknown to me. Can I replace the factory radio and keep the Uconnect functionality? If anyone has actual experience with factory Uconnect, that would be great. Wiring diagrams for the back of the factory radio or any other info would be great also. I don't want to lose my mind battling a factory radio again.
What makes things worse is the dealer leaves you without a radio for weeks while your radio is sent back for the repair vs. replace determination.
