rag joint upgrade?

Somewhere, I seem to remember seeing that someone made an upgrade to the factory rag joint piece. Gonna be installing a Borgeson in the very near future and want to put something else in that is better (if it is available). I know Borgeson sells a replacement but it sounds like a factory equivalent.

Replacement Joint

I've not seen anything other than factory. They don't seem to wear out. There are some really old school busses here and it would seem that the u-joint wears out before the rag will.



What is wrong with yours? I put my Borgeson on last week. Nothing wrong with the rag joint, as I could tell. It would seem to me,this isn't a popular replacement item. The new u-joint did the trick for me. Even the wife said it steers much better now with the Borgeson in place.
