I had one, but it was not permanently installed, I ran it through the hood and door, and it quit working for some reason, maybe a wire got pinched or something.

I have one that is permanently installed now, with no problems

hope this helps

I'm kinda disappointed in mine. But, it's because of the lighting. The gauge lights up but, the hand doesn't. They're nice gauges but, I think Isspro are much nicer. Too bad they don't make a RP gauge.

The weird thing that happens with my RP gauge is, if I'm running a Smarty SW and then turn on the TST, my RP gauges goes crazy and will bury itself down at 30,000psi !! The TST isn't even connected to the RP sensor. If I turn off the TST it stays there. I have to turn off the motor for it to reset and work normally. Pretty strange

That sounds a lot like what my problem is. I put a new CP3 on a few weeks ago and after a couple hour drive a few weeks ago looked down and as Triton said the rail gauge was buried. Mine was at like 34,000 psi but the sensor only reads to 27,500 or something like that. At random times it will read either super high or super low. I didn't think about the TST thing, I can't remember but I know I had the smarty on this whole time. I was kind of worried but John at Floor it had a customer with the same symptoms and a bad gauge. I'm getting a PO148 High Pressure Commonrail code also though.

Edge boxes and RP. no real big issues. At times the gauge will read 1 or 2K higher or lower then it should at idle. For example, I know the truck should idle at 6K it will be right at 7. 5K, turn the key a bit to reset the circuit there causing the gauge to "reset" and it will read were it should.

Mine will start to read higher and higher the more i drive it with rail pressure added. after a week it will idle at 20+k. the key dont reset it on mine, i have to unplug the rail box and replug it to reset it.

Not to High Jack the thread but where are you guys getting these gauges? I have had so many rail pressure problems and I would love to have a gauge.

Mine is fine once I turn the key off and back on. I figured with the EZ it wouldn't be a problem, but with the modifications done to a Stage 2 CP3 I just wasn't sure if something could be off with it.

I have had mine installed since they first came out. I have run a number of different stacks with it installed and currently have TST/EZ/Smarty stack. I have not had any real issues so far. My readings will fluctuate at idle (4k-7. 5k) from time to time. It generally idles at 6-7k. I think this is more of an issue with the stack and what it is requesting from the ECM. What I have seen is that the same settings on the TST/EZ stack produce higher general RP readings than with the Smarty loaded and same TST/EZ settings. Smarty seems to get more effecient use of RP somehow.

Mine will do the same thing totally stock as it will do with the 3 stacked together. Also those 3 have been stacked since probably last September with no problems but the new CP3 seems to have brought out the symptoms.

Well then it could be heat related, mine seems to fluctuate only after being driven for a while. I honestly don't pay a lot of attention to it right now. Mainly was to help tune for the track and I am not racing anymore at this time. I will start paying a little more attention and see what variations I see.

Mine does the same at idle anywhere from 4k to 7. 5k. Does everyone elses gauge jump really bad? The needle in my gauge jumps all back and forth about 500 psi, kind-of wiggles all the time.

Another funny thing I noticed was that up to 7,000miles my pressure would not get over 18,000psi even at full throttle. right after the odometer rolled over 7,000mls (7013miles) I just happed to look down at the gauge doing 80 mph or so on the interstate and the gauge was reading 23,000psi. Now I can hit 23,000psi at full throttle at will. does the computer limit the pressure until 7000mile for break in or was this just a total coincidence.

I hear the SRT-8 motor does something similar. You don't get the full 425hp until you have 6 or 7000 miles on the clock.
