installed my sp box with rp gauge last night.

Stock settings:

Idle ~ 5-6k

light accel ~ 14-16 k

cruising 1600rpm ~ 17-18k

cruising 2100rpm ~ 18-19k

WOT - builds to 21 or so



SP on 4

Idle - same

light accel - same but builds faster

cruising 1600rpm ~ 18-19k

cruising 2100rpm ~ 20k

WOT - builds to 24



The highest pressures have been seen when the truck is shut off at idle. Pressures spike to 26k.



I increased the power levels on the SP box until I got to level 3 & 4 where the power curve seemed to feel smooth. I noticed a stronger feel off idle. I haven't turned the TST past 1/0 with the sp because of some interference issuses that SP is working on resolving. I like the idea of being able to adjust the power settings on the sp box, while watching the rail pressure at the same time. The sp box display is the same size as the TST, so they kinda look good next to each other too! We'll see how they play together with SP's fix.

Actually, i need to update my sig. I put the glacier 392 in last weekend. Anyway, just the glacier pump and the 2mk filter with big line. I like the idea of the factory filter getting all the big stuff before It goes to my 2 micron. I also like the idea of keeping a water seperator in the system.

Let me know if you can tell a difference when you turn up your pressure... dyno charts would be even better... . but I will take what I can get. :D
 
What is a sp box? And also do you get black smoke all the time? I just got my truck going and have II CP3 and 80hp injectors (Scheid Diesel) and running nothing else and this thing constantly smokes black.

with tst, injectors, cp3 + the silver bullet, I can set the tst at 1/0 and get almost NO smoke. With the TST on kill at 6/4, it will puff a very small amount of greyish black smoke, clear up, and when the TST fully fuels, a very faint trail of greyish/black smoke. Turn it up to 8/4 and get THICK black smoke, power drops way off. Haven't tried pressure + TST yet due to some interference issues between the two boxes.



SP is the SP Diesel version of a pressure box. It's adjustible, has a display similar to the tst, and has a built in rail pressure gauge. Seemed like a nice setup, so I'm trying it out.
