Here I am

Thanks, TDR Staff

Which 2nd controller stack for more performance?

H.O. vs. non H.O. whats the difference?

correct me if i am wrong but on a 03-06 you should see at idle 5500-7500psi and 23,000-27500psi peak while stabbing the gas in park? this is on a stock truck, just alittle confused at the moment. can't find my tech book! :{ need replies thanks. :D

Sounds right to me except to see peak I would think you would need to be at WOT closer to redline than just stabbing in park.

thanks. i have allways seen it spike at around 2k then level out, i guess to get the motor to turn. hey matt what was that rail pressure guage you were talking about a year ago, had something to do with voltage? keep the replies coming! :-laf

After buying a SPA dual gauge (EGT/Trans Temp) I found reading through the documentation that their gauges can be programmed/calibrated to sensors other than a SPA sender so I got to thinking about using the OEM rail pressure transducer as a sending unit.

I got in touch with a fella named John in the SPA engineering department and the emails started flowing on the subject. I provided John with the Rams transducer range of operation, outputs, sensitivity of the rail and such.

From there it was determined a boost channel on one of their dual gauges would work best.

Programming is handled by the user with the gauges button control setting various parameters and then connecting it to the OEM transducer.

I bought a gauge with a boost channel for testing and once it was determined it all worked well a special gauge was born, actually a boost/oil pressure gauge with a different face that reads FUEL on top and OIL on the bottom.

This allows for rail and oil pressure monitoring.

Matthew Reed at SPA handled a group buy back then for a good price so a few were sold. I think you can still get one however the price is questionable.

It was a fun project to do. The projects prototype gauge resides in the 03 that I sold to my Son and works perfect.

Ironically I am installing ISSPRO's in my 05.

The SPA's are a great gauge but the price and match of the ISSPRO won me over this time. I know I will miss high number recall, led warning set points plus the EGT on the SPA can be used as a cool down timer with its external trigger so you do get what you pay for.

I don't plan to pump the HP as much on the 05 but did get a 60 psi boost gauge just in case :D
