Listed below are my mods, I am concerned about my rail pressure and need some help. At Idle RP is 6 - 7,500. At WOT it is 27,000 to 28,500. I am throwing codes for high rail pressure, turbo over boost and low oil pressure. I have messed with the settings on the smarty but I have not seen much difference in RP only in response and power. This started after I installed the Injectors, That should lower my rail pressure right? I never drop pressure ind it is a consistent with throttle and RPM. So I am not draining the rail.

Mods: 2004. 5 CTD, HTT71/64/13, Smarty TNTr, DDP 120hp Competition series, II Stage 1 CP3, FASS 150/150, Intake and straight through exhaust.

Thanks in advance

The CPS may be handling your fueling needs. You may not drop pressure. As far as the codes I have no clue. I am battling similar issues.

I had rail pressure issues as noted on my diPricol gauge when a delivery valve wasn't working right on my CP3. I now have the Floor-It Stage 3 CP3 and pressures are right where they should be. Stock or with Smarty, about 4700 at idle. For any extended use, you definitely should not go over 25,000 running because rail pressure will spike to 27,000 or 28,000 psi when you let off the accelerator pedal. Even then, you will probably have to replace the fuel return/pressure relief with a solid plug such as Floor-It offers or you will etch the ball and seat of the stock valve and it will fail.

hi there i have a di/pricol rail-presure kit on a srt pillar,my question is how do you know how much rail presure you have ?the di/pricol kit reads up to 30,000k,but the factory bosch sending unit only reads 27,500k? does the smarty read beyond the bosch stock sending unit?thanks----LA

P. s. -i Tried Asking Around For A Different Sending Unit That Would Read Higher Than 27,500k From Jenn @ Di/pricol And She Doesnt Make Such A Thing. i Never Tried Bocsh Them Selves.

When I spike my rail at 27500 I actually go the code for rail pressure sensor out of range. I run my Smarty Rail Pressure on 1 and my EZ on 1 and normally see around 22000-23000 on the high end.
