ram air 3

please help. just got my ram air 3 and have a few questions. it is intalled but i am afraid to drive it because the intake hose now rides so close to the exhaust manifold. the ram air 3 is longer than the standard air box and pushes the intake hose up and back towards the turbo. it seems that the hose makes two sharp 90 degree turns now. it this corrrect? it did not come with mounting instructions , but i think it is right. removed old air box. install ram air 3 in same location and put one intake out fender just like the original and other intake faces the rad. hooked up sensor they same way, pointing towards the hood. that intake just concerns me. the exhaust manifold has a heat sheild in that location. anybody have one.

i have another conern. do they came pre oiled from wildcat diesel?

anyone please. do i have this thing in right? is the hose ok this close to the manifold?

Sounds right to me. I,ve had mine about 3 mos now, no problems. The exh manafold has a heat shield to keep the intake elbows from melting down.

The system does push the hose back some as we wanted to put the largest possible filter in there.

The fender inlet should be sitting in the fender hole.

The filter is pre-oiled from the factory

It should sit fairly straight from the turbo inlet hose to the front of the truck.



Rod was supposed to have install instructions done but has not finished editing them. I would but I do not have a 3rd gen truck here... yet.

thanks fireman. i feel much better now. did you oil your filter when you got it or are they pre oiled. ?
