Did you guys ever wonder whats stronger? The rear bumper on a dodge ram or the front end of a Crown victoria. From experience it's the bumper on the Ram. Coming home from work this evening I was stopped in traffic on interstate 70 west of St. Louis MO, when I and a Chevy S10 were Rammed(pun intended) by a 93 Crown Vic. The S10 was hit first and shoved past me along the inside guard rail, whereupon the Vickie Rammed (there it is again) me. I sustained Some minor damage to the bumper, which needs to be replaced, and the left rear quarter. The Vic was in need of a Tow truck, radiator in motor. Thank God nobody in any of the vehicles involved were injured.

Was it an old lady who looks THRU the steering wheel when she drives? Was the car pale yellow? Did it have a plastic flower at the top of the radio antenae? lol... just a guy from FL who's fed up with cars like that! Glad yer OK!

Maybe just a pro ford driver who doesn't like s-10's or Rams, or a driver that doesn't like trucks in front of him. But more likely had a cell phone to his ear.
Glad no injuries, and little damage to your rammed Ram.

That Vic must be really weak. The Ram rear bumper is a "beefy" 1/16" thick! Now that you need a bumper, make or find something worthwhile. I saw a 2 week old Ram that had backed into a pole at a couple mph. The pole hit the left corner of the bumper, which caved in and crumpled the left qtr and broke the dually fender.
Don't let this happen to yours!

Any pictures?Probably was just an air bag test in progress. Glas to hear everyone was ok, and your truck the least damaged.

Gotta love them he-v-duty trailer hitches too! A little girl in a brand new KIA tried to cut behind me as I was backin' into a parkin' space and crumpled her fender-n-hood, and busted out the headlight/turnsignal/grill assembly on the passengers side. Looked like she'd hit a telephone pole. The insurance adjuster didn't believe me when I said there was NO damage to my RAM... but was filled with wonder when he came for a look-see. I only had to replace my hitch-cover. Life's nicer in a 4X4... way-up-high!

Axekicker,
I couldn't seem to get that (smile as you go under) thing to fly out there on highway 70. Maybe I should change my sig to fully bombed and rammed #ad

I second Axekicker's motion---one day about 3-1/2 years ago, I was participating in the daily stationary ritual on southbound US 95, here in LV--I was at a standstill, waiting for the people ahead of me to proceed. (is cel-phone talk an offense under that circumstance?) suddenly, there's a THUD! behind me, and I look in the rearview mirror to see a car roof settling down... . tell wife, "gotta go. somebody just rear-ended me"

I drove off with a little extra paint- she called a tow-truck. . both humans OK, by the way...

thought of this today--for Axekicker's story-- KIA = Killed in Action (Why are the Koreans sending this car named that way?? Shades of the South American Chevy Nova!!)

Speaking of 'smile as you go under', I'm ready to order a "Duck" decal to replace the "Dodge" on my tailgate. Anyone else with a warped sense of humor interested? Email me if you are.
