So I was showing off my Ram to my Mercedes-owning friend, showing him how strongly-built a real truck is. When I showed him how the frame extended all of the way to the ends of the truck so that you can tow and attach winches and such, he asked me where my crush zone was.
"Crush zone?" says I.
"Yeah", he says. "Mercedes invented the crush zone, you know. It is an area at the front and rear of the vehicle which is designed to crush in a crash, absorbing the force of the collision. The reduces the forces felt by the people in the car. " He says.
"Yeah?" I say.
"Yeah. So where's your crush zone if you get into and accident?"
I think about this for a second and then point to the back of his Mercedes…. .
