Looking through the TDR’s front page news, I find that the announcement for the 2016 Ram trucks was made back in late June - June 23. 2015 to be exact. You can scroll down to see the introduction video. We had a summary of the video in Issue 89, pages 50 – 51, and we have provided a downloadable copy of that article below.

So what’s new? Last week, the folks at Ram invited the TDR up to their “Heavy Hauler Program.” The program gave me the chance to drive the 2016 line-up of Ram vehicles at Chrysler’s Chelsea Proving Grounds.

While I could bore you with my favorable impressions, I’ve been told that pictures tell a better story. I am hopeful you enjoy the Ram video.

Yes, the trucks accelerate, stop, and turn even when loaded to capacity. Driving over rough surfaces at the proving grounds gave me an appreciation for the refinements Ram has made with their suspension (air ride on the 1500’s, air springs on the rear of the 2500, air bags on the 3500).

I am hopeful you enjoyed the video. I certainly enjoyed the trip to see the Ram trucks and Ram staff who continue to improve our trucks. I can’t wait for 2017/2018.

(Call me old fashioned, but I still don't like the Laramie Limited's grille.)
