The last shop that aligned my front end screwed up. I'm looking for a shop in San Francisco east bay that speaks our language, (Dodge ram), and can listen.

I've been told the best place to go is where they service medium duty chassis trucks such as ambulances, delivery trucks, etc. Supposedly they are set up more appropriately for HD pickups than your average automotive shop.

Where in the East Bay? I have two suggestions.

First idea. Call or stop in at a place called EuroTech in Fremont. They mostly do high-end European cars, but the owner--Grant Miller--knows who does what and who does it well. Mention that I suggested you call. Seriously.

Second idea. Call or stop in at one of the chain tire stores called "America's Tire Center. " They are part of the Discount Tire chain, based in Scottsdale. (See tires.com) At least in Arizona, they have a subsidiary called "Network Alignment. " I took my Ram to a Network, they spoke Ram, got it right, and there was no charge! (Note that "Discount Tire" in California *is not* the same outfit. ) When I was last in Fremont, there was an America's Tire Center on a north-south street, just north of Fremont Blvd, across from the Hub, diagonally across from Grand Auto. That was 1997, though, and I can't remember the street's name.

I second Vaughn's recommendation. I paid a few $$ more and had a shop align my truck that did all of the local fire trucks, ambulances, medium-duty trucks, etc. I feel they did a superior job.

Sorry I can't recommend a specific shop... unless you want to drive to Indiana!
