I would like to get a kit that could be mounted on the rear of the truck to light up a trailer Hitch etc. Does anyone know of a kit available that would do this ? Thanks. .
Will this unit work on other than Dodge OEM hitch? I think I read it was only for the dodge OEM hitch when I was looking at it on the Geno's page. I have a Curt an was worried it would not fit. By the way did it come with a relay, do you need one? They had similiar one in JC Witney with relay included.
All you have to do is hook the power wire to the battery or some other hot line and splice into a wire for the stock back up lights (to trigger the relay). They work very well.
If you buy it from Genos they throw in a bracket that relocates the tralier plug and points it straight back (like it should be). If you order it from anywhere else you will have to buy the bracket... I think its $10 extra. I was kind of skeptical of the lights when I got them but they work great and I have not smashed them yet...
**edit**
If you look real close on the pic of mine you can see that the plug is not where it is susposed to be and you can see the four screws that attach the bracket that moves it.
looking at the picture in the Genos catalogue it looks to me like ther is no place to hook the chains anymore. anyone that has one have a comment? I would like one if it wasn't for that. Anyone have a picture of one installed on the dodge showing wire plug and chain hookups?
