RAM Suburban?

So I'm driving thru Farmington, N. M. Saturday and I start to pass a Suburban, Excursion or some big Sport Ute when I notice the 2500/24 valve emblem on the door. I back off to look at this thing and its a big red 2500, 4x4, four door wagon that's at least as big as an Excursion. Driving down the road, I couldn't see any kinds of splices or butcher work. This thing looked really good. I don't think I would want one, but does anyone know who does this conversion? It had Colorado plates but I couldn't identify which area it was from. Thanks, Jay

Was it Red and Silver? I've seen a real nicely done one around my house a few times. I think they used the rear side windows from a '73-'91 Suburban and the rear doors from a '92-'99 Sub.

might also be from south of the border. Mexico Dodge sells a 4 door RamCharger now which looks to be made on the 1500 truck chassis and front cab with suburban style rear.

They look nice, I've seen them while on business trips to Mexico.

I called the company and asked how much it would cost to get this done. They started off by saying that it can be done to ANY size truck and that it cost as much as a basic 1/2 ton dodge. No thanks, I think my truck is just fine as it is.

If I was to spend money on something like that, I'd have a true crew cab made. BUT, the most cost-effective way to do that is to start out with a regular cab truck, since I doubt they can use any of the Quad Cab materials that cost like $2500 more.

I can remember some years back Mopar Muscle or HiPerformance Mopar ran an article on those trucks some American company was building for oil sheiks across the big pond. They were using 2500 V-10's though. Anybody else recall the article? The back ends were suburban pieces on those although they did look better on the Dodge. #ad
