..... heck, I was thinking about adding one to my Ram

I have seen several of these. Dave Smith Dodge always has a truck with one installed, and I've also seen them at a local dealer. Both dealers had a price of $1200 bucks installed. There was a sunroof place down the street from my work that said they'd do it for a $1000.

Mike, when I talked to the owner of one of the two Rams with the electric moonroof (a moonroof has glass), he also told me it was $1200. installed. I believe he said Seattle Auto Glass (in Tacoma, WA) performed the installation (through Larson Dodge) on his Ram... he had it installed prior to delivery.

looks nice. obviously powered.

what brand?
what size?
how many $$$?
did you do the install yourself?

Oops, too late. What silencer ring? (More fun than my 98 SST)

I love to have one of these but $1000. That will buy alot of other BOMBing accessories. Anybody have any comments on a having a non-power sunroof installed?

John, if a moonroof has glass, what does a sunroof have? I thought a moonroof had non-removeable glass and a sunroof had removeable glass. I was never really sure though.

If anyone is interested I did some checking on these these power sunroofs/moonroofs.

There are made by ASC. Here is a link to the aftermarket auto parts they offer: http://www.ascglobal.com/aftermarket/default.htm

There is a shop here in town that is a licensed, from the MFG, installer of these sunroofs. There are other shops but only one licensed one (it sounds nice to be licensed but who knows the significance of that). Anyway the installed price of the sunroof, similar to the one in the above picture, was $695 + tax.

Just thought I'd post this for anyone who may be interested. $695 puts it in the "almost" category for me, oh well maybe someday.

Ryan

Perhaps there is someone online that has a body shop that could check in and see what it means to be a "licensed" installer of the sunroofs.

I'd hope it would mean actual training instead of paying $xxx amount of money to become licensed.

just my $. 02 worth...
