I know it's been done and some will say easy, cinch, no prob but. I'd like to know the buts, ands, and ifs. Would there be a year that would make swap easier ie:wiring parts swapping? would I need all wiring from donor vehicle or could charger wiring be made to work? I'm sure the 2nd gen 12 valve would be best but 1st gen may be not as entailed? Tell me what you can good bad indifferent and thanks in advance. Jeff

P. S. Would have to be modified, JUST CAUSE but intended purpose a dependable grocery getter and mainly cool alternative to new family car for momma

I did a 91 Ramcharger, using a 93 W350 as a donor,

Everything worked great, just time involved process as I rebuilt the motor and auto trans, which took a lot of time extra that I did not count for.

Real happy with the truck now, except that I now have a vacume pump leaking so now have to swap it out.

I am getting 17-18 mpg with only 7000 miles on the motor.



I got hold of a 85 Crewcab recently and this will be my next project.
