Let me first say nice truck!!!!!! javascript:smilie(':D')

Had to wife was up my a** plus my daughter was with me. Would not get aggresive under those conditions . No excuse right?

Also my truck will bury the speedo? Don't know why. Have not changed those puny tires yet. Yes, I am a rare breed do not think truck is perfect. As far as mods soon wanted to get that 10,000 mile marker first. Up first straight pipe exhaust yes I like a little noise. Then VanAaken box. That might be it,

On parole you know how this commie state is. I got two back to back speeding tickets (one up hill mind you)and they want to teach me how to drive again.

I got to ask do you really think I threw out an anchor? I only eased down the throttle to stay with you?

Have been around long enough to know a BOMBED truck when I see them. Can't tell with a DURAMAX no smoke. All trucks will be that way soon so hang on to yours if you like it. Me, not offended by smoke but don't care.

I'll run into you again I hope ,also a frequent flyer up to northern VT. Place on a lake.

Take care

ps please forward your ins. ID I think when you pulled in front of me tossed a stone and put a chip in my hood!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

amcintyre - my wife drives "our" truck on a daily basis, the only time I get to drive it is usually when we are all going somewhere, we being wife daughter and myself. I will not horse around with the family on board and I don't think anyone would expect you to either so that is a perfectly good excuse in my book.

The main thing is to enjoy your truck whatever it is and it sounds like you do. I think all three of the full size diesels are pretty awesome in their own right but I chose the Dodge and I like it, when I get to drive it that is.

amcintyre,

Nice to see you have a sense of humor. I get so tired of people slaggin on other peoples choice of trucks. I've always bought mopar because my father has worked for them at the factory for 20 some odd years, they bascially clothed and fed me when i was little. The discount helps alot as well.

Gm, ford and dodge have nice trucks all with their own little quirks. Competition is healthy and hopefully it'll raise the bar for all diesel trucks.

Bottom line. . you chose a diesel and that's cool with me.

amcintyre:

where in conn do ya live? like i said before, next dyno day we do(and we do alot of them) you should head out there with us. we have seen a bunch of PSD's on the rollers(not impressed) but no duramaxes. my best run was 371wrhp:mad: with all my mod's i was hoping to have a little more!sweet truck,dude... . get some propane in there and wake that V-8 up! maybe i'll see ya on I-91 this weekend. p. s... . if you want a set of BFG tires for your rig, i can get you hooked up for about $900..... james:)

THIS COULD BE A LONG ONE...

OK quick bio:

Live in Naugatuck on the Bethany line. I am in the steel business stainless steel that is. I have a manufacturing facility in Waterbury. What I do is reroll and slit coiled stock to customers specs gauge and width. Think of that coil (roll) a flashing you have hanging around. What I have (do) is from 3/8" wide to 36 "wide from . 005 thick to . 135 thick in 50# coils to 10,000# coils. I inventory approx. 3 million #s in my warehouse none of it belongs to me but to companies that sell it. Right now business is "crappie" to put it mildly. Thanks for the dyno invite. But I have heard the stock #S for the duramax Allison combo is 245 h/p 475tq @the rear wheels (six speed better #s that Allison is a power stealer ) . So to run it stock does not make sense. I would like to get a couple mods done. I will put an exhaust on then Van Aaken box soon as I can (business picks up) . Then I feel a trip is in order perhaps. As far as propane would love to but since I am a guinea pig to the first year of motor transmission combo I have concerns of recall or warranty issues. Feel it would be hard to disguise. Will have to stay tuned to other owners to see about durability and longevity so far so good. I do hear of people having it on the Duramax really awakens the sleeping dog. Where or did you get spacers to run wider tires. I had 235/75 on my 98 6. 5 td and with 2yds of stone in the bed the tires rubbed. I just got my polished alum. ULTRA WHEELS the other day so I will be shopping for tires. Man are the going to look good. Leaning towards a 235? 245/85/16. Let me know on them spacers if you can. I own a Chev. With them short rear lugs going to check it out. How big is your L/P tank? Just want to know how long I need to trap you behind me this weekend (Friday night) before you run out of GAS... ..... LOL

spacers

Mac:

i got my spacers from Wheel Wharehouse. they were $90 a piece. they bolt on to the inside wheel studs and have a set of there own studs. they are two inches wide. the number is 714-772-1281 ext 103. ask for alex. my LP tank is off a gas grill. i don't use it very often. i didn't have it on when we bumped into each other the other day. i'm heading up to St. J at about 4:30 pm friday for the weekend. i hope there won't be alot of sno-goer's up this weekend(superbowl)i'm a tobacco farmer. i'm finishing up sorting 30 acres this weekend then it's vacatoin time baby till april1'st:D getting married on March 4'th in Jamaca. check out the powershot 2000! it goes in through your filterminder on your airbox with a 3/8'th fuel line. it injects vapor not liquid. the flow is fully adjustable. also, it can be removed and transferred to any other diesel very quickly(if ya need service work)i think it's about $500. have a good weekend... ..... james
