I recently installed the Ramifier from TS Performance and thought that I would post what my thoughts of it were. First I would like to thank Dennis for it, I was lucky #8 in a give away that his company recently did.

Now, about the Ramifier. This thing is GREAT. The truck really takes off. The install was very easy. The turbo spools up very fast. For those of you that like smoke... This thing will do it for you. The in cab adjustability is oustanding.

Thanks Dennis

Yup, this is a great box, much stronger than my ez, I called Ramifier and asked about stacking this with the TST and was told it can be done but they have a little softer program they could load if I wanted to stack with the TST. I decided to try it like it was and the truck ran great with it but at wot and ramifier cranked up there was a little turbo surge but cleared up when I turned it down a little. My son wanted to try it on his 04. 5 and I doubt I'll ever get the box back, he loves it. He had tried my ez and wasn't all that impressed but you can feel this box much more than the ez. Thanks again Dennis. Oo. :-laf

Would you guys stop all this Ramifier kind of talk :-{} ... The Edge EZ is by far the best box out there  (that is until I am able to sell it for a Ramifier) :-laf

glad to here all the good stuff, now anyone with a bad experience???

Dave

No bad experience here. I love my Ramifier. The only thing I love more than the box itself is Dennis @ TSPerformance. I did a quick write-up on a field trip to his shop. Great guy, great product.

Finally we had good weather and I was able to run the ramifier hard. With it turned all the way down I was runnig stock. I was driving up the mountain home and went to pass some cars. i romped on the gas and turned up the ramifier at the same time. When the truck down shifted into passing gear the rear tires broke loose and gave a big loud chirp. was awesome. I also love the smoke show. Tons of power. I've extended the cable and will put the control knob up in the overhaed for easy access.

I have to thank Dennis also for his generosity as I was #4 but can't comment on function yet cuz I'm a scared. Thats right. . its still setting on my tool box but will get hooked up probably this weekend for a try.

I made the mistake of asking about rail pressures. I don't know if Dennis would want the info he gave me posted here so I wont, but lets just say TS feels the limit valve wont open till 30,000 psi. and they stay below that.

Heres an idea... for those concerned about the limit valve, why doesn't someone machine us a solid puck to replace the devise? Just pull the valve out and put away for safe keeping and no worries. Bosh feels the rest of the system is fine all day long at 30,000 so why not ditch the weak link?

well I love my ramifier. And now it is time to do a correct install for the switch. I extended the harness and mounted the dial up in the overhead cluster. Works and looks great. I will post some pics tommorow morning.

Kory

That's awesome Kory, I look forward to seeing the pics. I mounted mine on a piece of angle iron up under the dash. I'd much rather have it out where I can adjust it though.

Depends on your model year. Also, when it opens is not as important as what damage it could be causing before it finally opens. People have already popped them. It's a STAR part, expensive, and not recommended for those concerned about warranty situations.

Extracted from Bosch articles:

--------------------------------------------------------

The Bosch common rail system is featured on the new Cummins 5. 9 liter ISB-E engine. The inline six-cylinder engine is the most powerful turbo diesel engine available in the 2500/3500 segment, producing 305 horsepower at 2,900 rpm and 555 lb. -ft. of torque at 1,400 rpm.

Common rail is a fuel injection system that separates pressure generation and injection events, providing engine manufacturers with a large degree of application flexibility for meeting stringent emissions. The Bosch common rail system is capable of injection pressures up to 1600 bar (^23500psi).

The Bosch third-generation common rail system operates at a maximum working pressure of 1,600 bar (model year 2003), and will expand to 1,800 bar by 2005.

Bosch currently is developing two concepts for its fourth-generation common rail, the next technological advancement to the common rail system. Both designs are intended to provide injection pressures of more than 2,000 bar. One of the fourth-generation design concepts utilizes a combination of piezocontrolled injectors and a vario-jet nozzle spray hole geometry. Improvements in the fourth-generation system will support further reductions in engine emissions, engine-specific fuel consumption and combustion noise, while increasing available engine output. Bosch plans to unveil the new system in 2006.

Pretty cool ROCKJEEP. I mounted mine just to the right of the steering wheel. There is a little flat area about level with the bottom of the steering wheel there. My truck is a 6spd so the auto shifter handle in not there to block access to the switch.

How do you like it stacked with the BDD. And what program are you running on the BDD. How bad does the clutch slip and how much smoke.

Kory

At the moment I am running BDDL on performance and Ramifier on about 1/2. If you lug it a little you can make a lot of smoke. I have had it it on Extreme and Ramifier turned up. You can make as much smoke as you want if you lug it a little(to get people's attention :D ). If you are just getting on it it has moderate smoke. I am a little concerned about pressure with both turned up but so far so good. I wish I could get my hands on an OBDII device or Bully Dog Outlook monitor for a couple of days to see what the max pressures are. I would buy an outlook or something but I have spent enough for a while. As far as the clutch it is now shot. I could slip it bad with just the Ram. on high in 5 and 6 gear. With both boxes stacked the clutch doesn't have a chance. It is glazed now I would suspect because you can't even ease one of the concrete bars in parking lots now without it slipping and smelling. Of course it does have 91k of hard EZ miles on it prior to these upgrades. My Con FE will be at the house tomorrow I hope and I will work on installing it this weekend.
