Stormin along highway at 85 and the machine starts hesitating a little and loosing some power. I put in clutch to see if I can hear any bad gear noise. . and she dies immediately. Will not re-start. Wait for tow truck for 2 hours and call dealer in morning only to hear that tank is empty! Careful of those fuel gages, it indicated a little over 1/8.

Question is does anybody think the VP-44 got hurt? The truck has full power runs great.

You're probably OK. JUST MAKE SURE NOT TO DO IT AGAIN. I would run some diesel additive for lubricity (your choice), and you should be fine.

BTW-- You might want to develop the habit of using your trip meter to judge when to fill up, not the gauge.

I always fill up right around 300 Miles per tank, it ends up being around half a tank.

Thanks Justin, I always run redline fuel lube and injector cleaner. I also figured I'll just go about 350 miles on counter and fill up to avoid the problem. BTW, how do you like those DD2's? I've been thinking about some more power...
