Yeah I ran it out, Tow truck driver pulled in Quick trip and let me fill it with diesel on the way home. O pened the hood and turned key on to start and opened the drain line on the fuel filter housing and out runs diesel, so I close it and crack injector line number one and crank on the engine 4 or 5 times and still nothing, checked for codes and got P 0460. Had to head to work on my motorcycle, any ideas

You need to crack a couple of lines and even at that you may have to crank it for quite a while. Watch your starter so that it does not get too hot !!!

The code indicates that signal from fuel level sender did not change for 40 miles(out of fuel). To save time and your starter, don't open the drain on the filter, this can allow air into system, loosen the banjo bolt where fuel line from filter goes into vp-44, bump starter leaving ign. in on position, repeat untill you get good flow of fuel to this point, tighten bolt while lift pump is still running. Now loosen two or three nuts where the lines tie into injectors, repeat the bump starter bit until you see fuel at this point, now tighten the nuts and truck should start. bg

Thanks guys, it was kinda tricky doing it alone but I used the schrader to see I had fuel to the vp, Then would crank it with 3 lines open for 20 seconds and jump out and look for diesel, when I would see it I would crank that injector line closed. Even after I had them all closed it was just turning and turning

I was getting this sick feeling in my stomach, then it just started to turn faster like a gas engine cranking and caught on two cylinders and sounded like crap then smoothed out

Yeehaw
