What car covers do you recommend for outside?

I installed Rancho 5000 shocks on my 01 4x4 Sunday. I didnt feel it was neccessary to spend the extra money for the adjustable 9000s. A couple of things do concern me about the shocks. This is their overall length in comparisn to oem shocks. Compared to the oem shock the Ranchos, when fully extended, are over 2" shorter. This tells me that there is 2" less of free travel before the shock runs out of upward travel. This is true front and rear. Has any one run into a problem with this? The truck does seem to drive better ands does seem to have a firmer ride.

2" does seem substantial. It would/could limit your travel only at full extension however. I'm confident in the R&D of Rancho. If you contact them with your concerns, post their reply.....

I emailed Ranchos tech support. The front shocks are fine. These are the RS5197. They said the rear shocks,RS5198,are a light duty shock. Because of the 8800GVW the correct shock is RS5225. From what I read the 5000s and 9000s use the same number except for the first digit. Makes me wonder how many have the correct rear shocks.

The correct numbers for the RS9000 are: This is for a 2500 4x4 with no lift. Front RS9197 and the Rear RS9198. The numbers for the RS5000 are as Mike Brolin says.
