I wouldn't think that miles would have anything to do with their lifespan.
It would have more to do with the terrain you travel over. 100,000 miles on perfectly flat and smooth roads would not subject shocks to hardly any wear at all.
Conversely, if all of your driving was in the rough country on trails with no maintenace, you could very well have them used up in short order.
As long as they are controlling the vehicle to specs, be happy.
I replaced mine today with the 9way adjustables under warranty. The old ones had about 60,000 miles on them between after being on 3 different trucks since 2000. They didn't seem to have the ride control they did when they were new, especially when the camper is in the bed. When I cut the boots off two of them had been leaking. I did notice the sleeves are different on the 2002 than the 2000. Ride is good again .
I have perhaps 50000 mi. on a set on the rear. I use them on 1 empty(500#in bed) and 4 with 5th(about 2/3 of miles) adding 1900#. they seem about the same as new. Are the new ones superior?
