I've got over 65,000 miles on my Rancho 9000's. Only about 5,000 of these miles are towing (about 6,000#).

I have yet to notice any loss in performance.

When should I? How many miles to you all have on your Ranchos?

I wouldn't think that miles would have anything to do with their lifespan.

It would have more to do with the terrain you travel over. 100,000 miles on perfectly flat and smooth roads would not subject shocks to hardly any wear at all.

Conversely, if all of your driving was in the rough country on trails with no maintenace, you could very well have them used up in short order.

As long as they are controlling the vehicle to specs, be happy. :)

Mine only lasted a year, about 20k miles. There was a noticeable change in ride quality and the adjustment knob froze up on 3 of the 4 shocks.

I've had them on 2 trucks now. My 2K had about 70K miles on the 9000's when I sold it, they worked fine.

My 03 has about 40K miles on the 9000's, no problems at all.

I've run the 9000's on 3 different vehicles before these and not one failure on any of them.

I replaced mine today with the 9way adjustables under warranty. The old ones had about 60,000 miles on them between after being on 3 different trucks since 2000. They didn't seem to have the ride control they did when they were new, especially when the camper is in the bed. When I cut the boots off two of them had been leaking. I did notice the sleeves are different on the 2002 than the 2000. Ride is good again :) .

I have perhaps 50000 mi. on a set on the rear. I use them on 1 empty(500#in bed) and 4 with 5th(about 2/3 of miles) adding 1900#. they seem about the same as new. Are the new ones superior?
