Rancho 9000 shocks

Where can you purchase and have installed th Rancho 9000 shocks in the North end of Seattle? Looking to buy a 11. 5 pickup camper that is coming in at around 4,000 lbs plus. Presently tow a fifth wheel trailer and at night my headlights blind oncoming vehicles on low beam and on high beam they blind oncoming aircraft.

Are the 9000's air adjustable or just ride adjustable. If they are ride adjustable that will only help your bounce travel and not your level right??? Maybe some airbags... Sal

The Ranchos will not cure the end droop. Air bags or overload springs will. The Ranchos are good because the can be adjusted to control the extra weight/mass when you add loads, and then adjusted back when your done. I have used Air bags and Ranchos in combination in the past with very good results. I'm currently adding both to the new Ram, but trying different shocks this time.

I just installed airbags AND Rancho 9000s to accommodate a 2100 lb slide-in camper and a 9000 lb trailer with 900 lbs of tongue weight.

The combination works. The airbags controll the ride height and the shocks prevent any excessive side-to-side rocking.

If you can, buy the Ranchos from someplace that has the "buy 3, get 1 free" deal. The deal should last until the end of June. I bought mine through the mail from Natl Tire and Wheel in Wheeling, WV. Their price is $62/shock and the total with shipping came to just under $200. I installed the rears myself in about an hour with no problems. I paid $30 to have the fronts installed and that also took about an hour. The shop had no problem getting the old shocks out or installing the new ones.

I installed the 9000's about a month ago. They have been just great. I tow a few times a week. Sometimes I have a pallet or 2 of fertilizer and a trailer and I pump up the rears to 5 and it smooths everything right out. But, upon unloading and riding empty on the same settings would make me put on a kidney belt. I did the fronts in about and hour and a half and the rears in about 30 minutes. No big deal.

You can buy them from any Rancho dealer. The sale is a national Rancho sale and ends in June I believe.

I liked mine so much I am ordering another set today for my dads ford.
