I know the Rs900 is adjustable, do I really need that? Would the Rs5000 do the job as well? I do use a slide in camper though. It is only a pop up not very heavy weighing 1100 pounds dry. Thanx in advance.

I had the 5000s on my 95. They were too hard for me, solo. Loaded with the 5'er, they were perfect. I've got the 9000s now. The fronts are set @ 3. The rears are set @ 1 solo, 5 loaded.

If the camper stays on all the time, then the 5000s would be fine.

I have run the RS5000's on several trucks and didn't have much luck. They were leaking in under 10000 miles on my Dodge, and my dad's didn't last very long on his Ford. Between the RS 5000 and RS 9000, I would go for the 9000. No of-coarse you don't need the adjustability of the 9000, but it would be nice to have (just like you didn't NEED a diesel, but you have one). The Rancho's have a smoother ride then say a Bilstein, but they don't handle like them either. The ability to dial them in to your personal settings might be a blessing. Rancho also has a RSX shock, and a RS9000X which is their top of the line shock for now.
