I am looking to replace my shocks and was wondering if the Rancho RS5000 was a good replacement for every day driving and occasional towing of a fifth wheel without squatting the rear too much. If anyone has any experience with these or recommend another I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

i have R5000 on front of my 2500. seem ok so far, dont think i would use them on the rear if i were towing. 9000 would be better as they are adjustable. hope this will help. all the best. :) :) Oo. Oo.

I found a great deal on the new RS9000x so I took your advice and returned the 5000 and ordered the 9000x for the rear. They came to the house yesterday so I am hoping to get them on tonight.

If anyone is looking for some RS9000x check out Hotrod offroad

The shop that I got the RS5000 for the front didn't believe that I was getting the RS9000x for the price that I did. They wanted $93 I got them for $67. Oo.

I have the RS9000's too.

The adjustability is great. If you've got weight in there, crank them up, if not, back them off. Great idea for trucks that carry such a wide variety of loads (or none at all).

You can really feel the difference in the settings. I like them.

Here is the best solution if you haul and tow varied weights. Bilsteins on the front and RS 9000 on the rear. If you don't tow a big 5th wheel then the Bilsteins all around are a very high quality shock and one that members that have used the RS9000's switch to and swear by. Do a search, a lot of information on shocks.
