Archived random no start

I have a 04 3500 with a stick shift that has a random no start some times when you turn the key I can hear a clicking under the hood but the truck wont crank over if I keep trying it some times it will start other times it needs to be push started, the next time I try it, it fires right up dose this sound like a bad ignition switch, clutch switch or a starter issue? I need the truck for a long trip tomorrow, thanks for any ideas

Sounds like starter SOLENOID contacts need replacing. If possible get the HEAVY duty ones, they will last a lot longer. Most auto starter and generator re-builders have the regular/stock ones. Do those for now and order the good ones for later.
