Rapid Hitch- Slop?

Hi Guys- Just got my Rapid Hitch Aluminum 3405 model today. . the 6" model. It's really cool and beefy, but it seems to have a lot of play in it in the interface between the downward adjustable ladder part and the ball mount. You can shake the ball mount when the pin is through it. There just seems to be a lot of play. Anyone else notice this, or am I just being picky ? Is there supposed t be some play where the two pieces meet ? I haven't towed with it yet. Your comments would be appreciated. Thanks. Bruce

I had one for about one year, probably towed around 12,000 miles with it, it got so much slop in it that I went back to my old fashioned steel hitches, didn't like that way it was wearing. Took it back to the RV dealer I got it from and they sent it back to the factory and they said that there was no problem with all the play in it.
