I ran across a 98 12 Valve quad cab Laramie 4x4 shortbed auto the other day. 179K highway miles, transmission rebuilt at 169K, truck is in excellent shape (no dents or dings anywhere), grill guard, nerf bars, toolbox, bed caps, bed rails, the bottom of the leather seats were recovered last week, 250 miles on 4 new firestone a/t tires. Any idea on what would something like this be worth?? Thanks for the help.

I'm looking for a 1998 Quad-Cab, shortbed, 4x4, 12-valve with an NV-4500.

1) I'm not having much luck finding anything.

2) They're going for $13-19k - depending on mileage, etc.

Well, last month I bought one of those. It is a '98 12V quad cab short bed. Is 4x4, 3. 54 gears, limited slip, auto with the sport package. SLT trim, leather, power drivers seat, infiniti sound with remote CD changer, overhead console temp/compass.

Exterior: Ranch hand bumpers, 4" exhaust, 'glass running boards and bed liner. Equiped with tow package. Has 150K miles. Excellent body/paint, clean interior. Only wear was bottom of drivers seat and drivers armrest has small tear in it.

I picked it up for $12,400+tax.

Downside: Lady ran a stop sign 4 days after I got it, hit in the RR tire and spun sideways and rolled into the ditch.

Now it's totalled:{ .

ugh, that really blows! I am sorry to hear that!

On the other hand, I wonder what mine is worth (See sig) while we are talkinig about the 'rare model'... Mine is a 6 speed, so its even more rare.

Distributor on D-C STOLE one of those that a little man owned about a year ago.

No difference in owners, as he is skeered to enter it in anything that would require non-bluehair driving. :D

$18000/180 hp is $100 per hp.

I was figgerin to sell Sickly at only about $32/hp. Maybe I should try to get $80,000 (Western dollars, of course) :D

A friend of mine just bought a 98 12v 5 speed,175,000 miles quad cab, utility bed, ladder rack, loaded except leather for 10,000. It has a rebuilt transmission and a new clutch. On the down side it did have a few electrical gremlins and a crack across the windshield as well as a few scratches and dings. The price was low because of the electrical trouble, but most of the problems turned out to be easy fixes. He hasn't even had it for 3 weeks and I already talked him into 370 injectors, fuel plate, and a sbc 13" ofe clutch:D

When I ordered my truck back in 98 I waited a few extra months just to get the new 24v engine. Looking back now I wish I would of gotten the 12v instead. :{ Gotta love that p-pump!!
