Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) RASP and Walbro 392

I have a 99 with a RASP and a stock lp in stock location for backup and to prime at filter changes. I have thought about using a Walbro in place of the piece a junk Carter. I see some of you guys have went this route already. Please tell me how you did it and how its working out for you. Thanks

That is EXACTELY the route I am going. Walbro arrives next monday. I am also going to contact GARY and see how he builds his bypass just in case.



Opps, My Walbro will be down on the frame.

Bob Please let me know how it comes out. I,m very interested in doing it also. It seems to be just a plumbing and wiring job mostly but questions I have are what about the Hobbs switch and pressure regulation?Will it still prime the filter? Gary at Glacier Fuel may be a big help also. Terry -- email address removed --

Although the pump will not stay as warm, IMO mounting the lift pump on the frame rail back by the tank is better.
