Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) RASP losing Prime

Just Installed the RASP and it is losing prime, i am using Olee's kit i have gone over all fittings 4 times

it must be sucking air from somewhere but i can't seem to find it.



has this Happened to anyone before????????

I think we found our problem

i found 1 fitting a little lose

so i think we are good to go!!

the Rasp is done

the install took about 4hr's

priming was another story

it seems these fittings need to be tighter then normal

i have used tons of 6an fittings on many projects but this time it was going to fight me every inch of the way

if i take a fitting off the it will lose prime ,the LP will comes on and hold pressure at 8 psi (hobbs switch) start the truck and sometimes the rasp will pump and sometimes it wont, if i loosen the fuel filter top and prime, it will run fine, now that all the air is out it is running fine. due to my priming problem i set a 1693 code. yet able to get rid of it!

road test was great the RASP will hold 14psi no matter how hard you run it!

I haven't put my RASP in yet, but you have to be careful with those aluminum AN fittings, we use them on the race car, and I have broke more than 1 over-tightening them, the -4 ones are the worst!!!! I use a alum. wrench just for those. And yes, they have to be good and tight, a fine line here!! I would rather use steel fitting on the truck.
